Perama Cave

It is a cave of outstanding beauty and is situated in the centre of a settlement named after the cave just four kilometres away from Ioannina. It was created 1.4 million years ago and it was discovered in 1940.  Inside, labyrinthine corridors are formed by stalactites and stalagmites and create a magical world of shapes. It occupies an area of 14800 sq.m. The route is 1,100 m in total and takes about 45 minutes. The tour is organised.
